My cousin is the only woman I know with more guts to have survived the loss of her sons, one at 5 years old a decade ago and then her oldest Manny, 19 last year in Iraq! God, how does she do it??? AND like our family is, she now heads a memorial foundation for mothers like her in Rockland County under her son's name - PVT. Manuel Lopez. She deserves more than any medal could give but love and happiness for her, her surviving daughter Cathy and the beautiful grandchildren she has, one is Cathy's and yes, Manny never got to see his unborn child. Ahh, life. It can be so cruel.
